2025 Skullgirls Halloween Art Contest!

As the nights grow longer and the chill creeps in, a familiar season stirs once more… it’s time for the Skullgirls Halloween Art Contest - 2025 Edition!

A staple of the Skullgirls community calendar, this annual event invites artists of every skill level to unleash their creativity and showcase the universe we all love. Year after year, the contest has brought out stunning, imaginative works from our fans, and we can’t wait to see what you’ll conjure up this time.

This Year’s Theme: Skullgirls Presents: A Skullgirls Masquerade

Step into the shadows of elegance! For this contest, we’re asking you to create original Skullgirls artwork with a Masquerade theme. Think ornate masks, velvet gowns, sinister cabarets, and the mystery of hidden faces. Let your imagination dance between beauty and danger with the perfect disguise can be as dazzling as it is deadly. Show us how Skullgirls shines when the masks go on!

With a deep, bloody pool of horror history to pull from and a vibrant Skullgirls' roster at your disposal, the creative canvas is wide open. Just one reminder: while Halloween thrives on frights, keep submissions spooky, yet professional. No violent acts or graphic gore, please. We’d love to highlight your work across our social channels!

You’re welcome to submit art created digitally or traditionally, but please note: [Like our ads] AI-generated entries will not be accepted.

CONTEST RULES:

• Your task is to draw a Skullgirls character as a horror character from any media eg. Film, TV, Comics, Literature & Gaming.
• You are not required to draw playable characters. Non-playable characters are fine too!
• Skullgirls Mobile is rated T for Teen, so your contest entries should be the same!
• While "Horror" is a key theme here, please avoid explicit depictions of death, violence, and gore.
• We will link to winners from our Social Media, so we cannot accept entries submitted from "NSFW" Instagram or X (Twitter) accounts.
• We reserve the right to refuse any entry.

SUBMISSION DETAILS:

• This contest runs from October 8th - October 26th. Entries posted after Oct 26th will, unfortunately, not be considered.
• To submit entries you need to post your art on Instagram or X (Twitter) and use the hashtag #SkullgirlsHalloween2025
